My blog’s PageRank goes up from PR 2 to PR 3

I am delighted to find out that my blog’s PR is now PR 3 after the latest Google PR update. I thank all my readers and subscribers for taking an interest in my blog. My blog’s current statistics are as follows:
PageRank: 3
Alexa Ranking: 451,680
Backlinks (or External Links): 1096 (calculated by Google Webmaster)
Internal Links: 576 ((calculated by Google Webmaster)
Total Posts : 46

I am taking this blog pagerank indicator with a grain of salt. I think there is no direct correlation between pagerank and blog success. A high blog pagerank does not guarantee the blog is gonna make it big. I have seen successful blogs with zero pagerank.
